Park Slope Rock School Paris follows the same successful model, assigning each student to a band and conducting lessons in performance, composition and music theory.  All instruction is done in English, making it a great opportunity for French children to practice and apply spoken English in a fun, energetic and collaborative environment. Park Slope Rock School believes in the power of the band as an educational and inspirational framework to learn music and gain confidence.  Students work alongside their peers to develop a cohesive group sound while continually improving their individual skills.  The students will learn music from the classic rock canon (Bowie, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, etc…) and will also have the opportunity to write their own songs.  Our semesters have included photo shoots, recording sessions and master classes with professional musicians and each one culminates in a performance at a rock club, where friends and family can come and show their support.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The semesters run either 12 or 14 weeks, depending on the semester, with classes meeting once a week, in English, for an hour and a half each time.

Our program is designed for students aged 8-16 years old.  Both anglophone and francophone children are welcome; however, all students must have had at least one year of English instruction.

Notre programme est conçu pour des enfants de 8-16 ans. Les élèves anglophones et francophones y sont bienvenues; cependant, tous les étudiants doivent avoir eu un minimum d’un an de cours d’anglais avant inscription.

Classes are held at SMOM Studios (10, rue Boyer 75020) just next to Gambetta Metro Station.

Les cours sont lieu chez SMOM Studios (10, rue Boyer 75020), à coté de M° Gambetta.

Bands meet on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays, depending on students’ availability.

Les cours/répétitions auront lieu les mercredis et/ou samedis, selon la disponibilité des élèves.

All musical ability levels are welcome.

Tous niveaux musicales y sont bienvenues.
